a French prelate, was born at Cavaillon (Venaissin) in 1305. He became chancellor of Sicily, patriarch of Constantinople, cardinal and legate, and was intimately associated with Petrarch. He died at Perousia in 1371, and was buried in the Carthusian Church of Bonpas, where his marble mausoleum was seen in 1791. He wrote a few sermons and practical works in Latin. See Hoefer, Nouv.
