a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born October 27, 1705, at Gottingen. He studied at Halle, was in 1736 pastor at Rothenhutte, in 1742 at Altenrode, in 1746 at Ilsenburg, and from 1759 at Wernigerode, where he died, October 13, 1780. He is the author of several hymns.
