a Presbyterian minister, was born at Hartwick, N. Y., Dec. 1, 1815. He graduated at Hanover College in 1837, and at the Union Theological Seminary in 1840. He was ordained Nov. 3, 1842, and was pastor at Brooklyn, Mich., 1840 to 1850. For many years thereafter he was principal of the Monroe Female Seminary, Michigan. In. 1881 he served the Church at Sarinac with great acceptability and usefulness, and died there suddenly, Nov. 24, 1882. See Presb. Home Missions, Jan. 1882; Gen. Cat. of Union Theol.
