a Polish prelate and historian, who died in 1253, as bishop of Posnania, left a Chronicun Polonice (printed in Sommertag's Scriptores Rerum Silesice [Leipsic, 1739], and separately [Varsovia, 1752]), which gives a history of Poland down to 1253; and was continued by Godislas Backso down to 1271.
