a minister of the German Reformed Church, was born on Long Island, N. Y., April 14, 1804. He came to Pennsylvania when quite young; studied at York, Pa., and was ordained in 1832, and sent as missionary to the Carolinas. After laboring there successfully for five years, he returned to the North, and exercised his ministry in several fields in Pennsylvania, principally in Cumberland County. He died in 1870.
