a Dutch Protestant theologian, was born in Holland in 1622. He was minister at Middleburg, and one of the defenders of Socinianism. He died near the close of the 17th century, leaving, Apologia Modesta et Christiana (1668): — Probatio Spiritus Autoris Arii Redivivi (1669): — Institutio Christiana (Amst. 1678). See Hoefer, Nouv.
