a German Reformed minister, was born at Reichenbach, Hesse- Darmstadt, Feb. 15, 1824. He emigrated to America in 1837, and was licensed to preach by the Miami Classis of Seven Mile, Butler Co.,O., in 1852. He accepted a call from Samuel's, near Millville, 0., the same year; also another at Seymour, Jackson Co., Ia., during the year 1856, where he labored with success until Sept. 16, 1857, when he died of insanity.
