a Protestant theologian of Germany, was born May 21. 1585, at Grossenhayn. He studied at Leipsic, where he was also appointed professor of Hebrew in 1610. In 1611 he was called as deacon to Torgau, and in 1620 as pastor and superintendent to Grimma, where he died, July 9,1626; He wrote Armatura Davidica (Leipsic, 1620).
