Atto (Acton, Or Hatton)
an Italian prelate, who was made in 945 bishop OF VERCELLT, in Piedmont, and died about the year 960, is the author of Satuta Ecclesice Vercellensis, Collectio .Canonum: — De Pressuris Ecclesiasticis:- Polypticus (πολύπτυχος, so called from its various contents); Commentary on Paul's Epistles Letters and Sermons. .Some of these writings were published by D'Achery in his Spicilegium; a complete edition was published by count Buronti del Signore (Vercelli, 1768, 2 vols. fol.).
