bishop of Beja (Ecclesice Pacensis), in Portugal, not Spcnain, as Cave and Moreri have it, was a man of great eloquence and learning. who lived about 540, and wrote An Explication -of the Apocalypse, of which Isidore of Seville speaks highly. It is now lost; but Loaysa, in his Notes to the Catalogue of Isidore, says that he once saw in Spain a voluminous MS. on the Apocalypse, formed out of the works of Victorinus, Isidore, and Aprigius.
