a Presbyterian minister, was born in Virginia, and spent the early part of his ministerial life as pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, Va. After resigning this charge, he went to St. Louis, Mo., where he was successful in building up a strong Church, which remains as a memorial of his labors. He died near St. Louis in 1873.
