a Free-will Baptist minister, was born in Massachusetts in 1784. For several years he was a member of a Presbyterian church, and subsequently joined a Calvinist Baptist church. His doctrinal views inclining him more to the Free-will Baptists, he joined that denomination, and was a preacher among them for many years. He died at Hamilton, Ill., Aug. 13, 1871.
