Sol finding entrance to the happy pair, betrayed their silent joy to Vulcan, who threw an invisible net about Mars and Venus; and, calling all the gods together, he thought to make them the butt of ridicule, when all the time he himself was laughed at by the gods. Mars transformed the unfaithful door-keeper into a cock.
