a Spanish missionary, lived near the close of the 16th and the commencement of the 17th century. His religious zeal was directed towards the conversion of the inhabitants of the island of Luzon and the Japanese. In. 1640 he was sent to Rome by the friars of his order (Barefooted Augustinians) in order to give an account to pope Urban VIII of the results of his mission.
