Los pozos del Génesis tienen nombres importantes y están asociados con eventos importantes:
(1) Beer-lahai-roi, el pozo del que vive y me ve ( Génesis 16:14); ( Génesis 24:62); ( Génesis 25:11).
(2) Beer-seba, el pozo del juramento o pacto ( Génesis 21:15); ( Génesis 22:19); ( Génesis 26:23); ( Génesis 46:1).
(3) Esek, disputa ( Génesis 26:20).
(4) Sitnah, odio ( Génesis 26:21). Esek y Sitnah fueron los intentos del propio Isaac de excavar un pozo. Luego, habitó junto a los viejos pozos de su padre.
(5) Rehoboth, ampliación ( Génesis 26:22).
