For You are the God of my strength; why have You rejected me?Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Because of the voice of him who reproaches and reviles,Because of the presence of the enemy and the avenger.

I will give You thanks forever, because You have done it,And I will hope on Your name, for it is good, in the presence of Your holy ones.

There they were in great dread where no dread had been;For God scattered the bones of him who encamped against you;You put them to shame, because God had rejected them.

Because of the voice of the enemy,Because of the pressure of the wicked;For they shake wickedness down upon meAnd in anger they bear a grudge against me.

Because of his strength I will watch for You,For God is my stronghold.

Moab is My washbowl;Over Edom I shall throw My shoe;Make a loud shout, O Philistia, because of Me!"

Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,My lips will laud You.

Say to God, "How fearsome are Your works!Because of the abundance of Your strength Your enemies will cower before You.

Because of Your temple at JerusalemKings will bring gifts to You.

Because for Your sake I have borne reproach;Dishonor has covered my face.

Oh draw near to my soul and redeem it;Ransom me because of my enemies!

Let those turn back because of their shameWho say, "Aha, aha!"

Because they did not believe in GodAnd did not trust in His salvation.

Show me a sign for good,That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed,Because You, O Yahweh, have helped me and comforted me.

My eye has wasted away because of affliction;I have called upon You every day, O Yahweh;I have spread out my hands to You.

"Because he has loved Me, therefore I will protect him;I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.

Because of the sound of my groaningMy bones cling to my flesh.

Because of Your indignation and Your wrath,For You have lifted me up and cast me away.

Because they were rebellious against His Spirit,He spoke rashly with his lips.
