1. a. water-course, conducted for irrigation Ezekiel 31:4; hence in poetry, channel for rain Job 38:25

b. conduit, 2 Kings 18:17 = Isaiah 36:2; Isaiah 7:3, compare 2 Kings 20:20.

c. trench, 1 Kings 18:32,35,38.

II. תְּעָלָה noun feminine healing (of new flesh and skin forming over wound); — (figurative) Jeremiah 30:13; Jeremiah 46:11.

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

תְּעָלָה f. constr. תְּעָלַת (from the root עָלָה, like תְּלָאָה which see, from the root לָאָה).

(1) a channel, 1 Kings 18:32, a water-course, Isaiah 7:3, 36:2 Ezekiel 31:4. Poet. Job 38:25, מִי־פִלַּג לַשֶּׁטֶף תְּעָלָה “who hath divided channels for the rain?” i.e. who has caused the rain to flow down from all parts of heaven?

(2) a plaister, bandage, put on a wound, Jeremiah 30:13, 46:11 (compare חֶעֶלָה אֲרֻכָּה).
