חַרְהֲיָה see חרחיה. below
חֳרִי m. with the addition of אַף heat of anger, Exodus 11:8; Deuteronomy 29:23; Isaiah 7:4, etc. Root חָרָה.
I. חֹרִי m. white bread, made of fine flour, from the root חוּר No. I. It occurs once, Genesis 40:16, סַלֵּי חֹרִי Vulg. canistra farinœ; LXX. κανᾶ χονδριτῶν. In the treatise of the Mishnah, Edaioth, iii. § 10, תרי is a kind of loaf or cake; Arab. حُوَّارَى white bread, white flour.
II. חֹרִי “a troglodyte,” “cave-dweller,” from חוֹר No. II, a hole, a cavern, and the termination ־ִי), [Horite], pr.n.
(1) of a people, who in very ancient time inhabited Mount Seir (Genesis 14:6), afterwards expelled by the Edomites (Deuteronomy 2:12, 22 ), -Gen. 36:2030.
