תָּמִים m. תְּמִימָה f. adj. (from the root תָּמַם)
(1) perfect, complete, Psalms 19:8; Job 36:4, 37:16.
(2) whole, entire, Leviticus 3:9, 25:30 Joshua 10:13.
(3) perfect, whole, sound
(a) free from blemishes, used of victims, Exodus 12:5; Leviticus 1:3.
(b) safe, secure, used of men, Proverbs 1:12.
(c) whole, upright in conduct, blameless, Genesis 6:9, 17:1. תְּמִימֵי־דֶרֶךְ the upright of life (in the way), Psalms 119:1. תָּמִים עִם אֵל upright towards God, i.e. altogether given to God, Deuteronomy 18:13; Psalms 18:24 (2 Samuel 22:24, followed by לְ). Compare שָׁלֵם No. 3. Neutr. subst, integrity, Joshua 24:14; Judges 9:16, 19 Judges 9:19. So too הָלַךְ בְּתָמִים Psalms 84:12, and הָלַךְ תָּמִים Psalms 15:2, to walk (live) uprightly. 1 Samuel 14:41, הָבָה תָמִים “give the truth!”
