Niph`al be ended, annihilated; Perfect 1 singular נִצְמַתִּת מִמְּנֵיאחשֶׁךְ Job 23:17 I am [not] annihilated because of (the) darkness; 3 plural נִצְמָ֑תוּ Job 6:17 (of dried-up brooks).

Pilpel צִמְתֵּת id. Psalms 88:17, where צִמְתֻּתוּנִי occurs for צִמְתְּתוּנִי, which does not appear to have been stated by any one. However, I should not doubt that Kibbutz is put for a moveable Sh’va, on account of the following long u, according to the law which I have stated, Lehrg. p. 68, 69; also Sam., for לְכוֹן, and in Gr. and Lat. homo, socors, for hemo (semo), secors; genu, γόνυ; νέος, novus; σκόπελος, scopulus. Compare קֹבֶל, קֹטֶן.
