תֹּם (once תּוֹם Proverbs 10:9) followed by Makk. תָּס־, with suffix תֻּמִּי (from the root תָּמַם), m. integrity, wholeness.
(1) of number and measure, fulness, Isaiah 47:9, כְּתֻמָּם “in full measure.”
(2) of fortune, welfare, safety, prosperity, i.q. שָׁלוֹם. Job 21:23, בְּעֶצֶם תֻּמּוֹ “in his very prosperity;” Psalms 41:13.
(3) integrity of mind, innocence. תָּס־לֵבָב integrity of heart, Genesis 20:5, Genesis 20:6הָלַךְ בְּתֹם Proverbs 10:9, and בְּתֻמּוֹ Psalms 26:1, to live uprightly. Used of simplicity of mind, which is opposed to mischief and ill-design, 1 Kings 22:34, “he drew a bow לְתֻמּוֹ in his simplicity,” without any evil purpose; 2 Samuel 15:11, הֹלְכִים לְתֻמָּם “going (with him) with a simple mind” (not conscious of an evil design).
