שִׁלְיָה f. afterbirth, which comes from the womb after the birth, from the root שָׁלָה No. III. Arabic سَلاً membrane, in which the fœtus is enveloped, سَلَى Conj. II, to extract this membrane. Deuteronomy 28:57. Talmud. סִלְיְתָא, שִׁלְיָא afterbirth.
