(1) to cut off, to cut asunder, e.g. a rope, Psal. 129:4 a hand, thumbs, Judges 1:6; 2 Samuel 4:12 a spear, Psalms 46:10.
(2) to divide, cut up (into threads), Exodus 39:3.
(3) to cut away, to cut loose, 2 Kings 18:16, 24:13.
