Qal Perfect 2 masculine singular consecutive וְקַצֹּתָה Deuteronomy 25:12 (accusative כַּמָּהּ); Participle pass plural construct קְצוּצֵי פֵאָה Jeremiah 9:25; Jeremiah 25:23; Jeremiah 49:32 (see מֵּאָה 1).

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

קָצַץ to cut off, to amputate, e.g. the hand, Deuteronomy 25:12 the beard, Jeremiah 9:25, 25:23. (Arab. قَصَّ to cut the nails and hair.) See under קָצַב.

Piel קִצּץ and קִצֵּץ

(1) to cut off, to cut asunder, e.g. a rope, Psal. 129:4 a hand, thumbs, Judges 1:6; 2 Samuel 4:12 a spear, Psalms 46:10.

(2) to divide, cut up (into threads), Exodus 39:3.

(3) to cut away, to cut loose, 2 Kings 18:16, 24:13.

Hophal, part. מְקֻצָּצִים, pass. of Piel No. 1, Judges 1:7. Derived noun, קֵץ (whence denom. קִיצוֹן for קִצּוֹן).
