Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

פֶּגֶר plur. constr. פִּגְרֵי m., a carcase, dead body, whether of man or of beasts, Genesis 15:11; Isaiah 14:19; 1 Samuel 17:46 and frequently. Once with the addition of מֵת Isaiah 37:36 (compare Syr. ܦܰܓܪܳܐ used of the body even when living). Metaph. פִּגְרֵי גִּלּוּלֵיכֶם carcases, i.e. ruins of your idols, Leviticus 26:29.
