in addition to the meaning "stranger," mentioned above under HOSPITALITY A, denotes one or other of the parties bound by ties of hospitality, (a) "the guest" (not in the NT), (b) "the host," Romans 16:23 .

(Strong's #3830 — Noun Masculine — pandocheus — pan-dokh-yoos' )

lit., "one who receives all" (pas, "all," dechomai, "to receive"), denotes "an innkeeper, host," Luke 10:35 .
