II. כְּפוֺר noun masculine hoar frost (Late Hebrew id.) — ׳כ Psalm 147:16; כְּפֹר Exodus 16:14 (P), Job 38:29.
כְּפוֹר m.
(1) a cup, probably such a one as was covered with a lid, from the root כָּפַר 1 Chronicles 28:17; Ezra 1:10, 8:27.
(2) hoar frost, so called, according to Simonis, because it covers over the ground, Exodus 16:14; Psalms 147:16; Job 38:29.
