Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

חֵרֵשׁ (of the form קִטֵּל) adj. pl. חֵרְשִׁים deaf (see the root No. 4), Exodus 4:11; Leviticus 19:14; Psalms 38:14. Metaphorically used of men who will not hear the prophets and obey the law, Isaiah 29:18. [But see if this comment is required by the passage.]
