I of persons,

1. wrongdoing, unrighteous, unjust: ἄνθρωποι Hes. Op. 260: Comp. -ώτερος ib. 272; δίκαν ἐξ ἀδίκων ἀπαιτῶ A. Ch. 398 (lyr.): Sup. -ώτατος S. Tr. 1011 (lyr.): ἄ. εἴς τι unjust in a thing, ἔς τινα towards a person, Hdt. 2.119; εἰς χρήματα X. Cyr. 8.8.6; περί τινα ib. 27; . [ἐν τῷ ἀστραγαλίζειν] one who plays unfairly, Pl. Alc. 1.110b: c. inf., so unjust as to.., Hebrews 6:10.

2. ἄ. ἵπποι obstinate, unmanageable, X. Cyr. 2.2.26; ἄ. γνάθος the hard mouth of a horse, Id. Eq. 3.5.

Thayer's Expanded Definition

ἄδικος, (δίκη) (from Hesiod down); descriptive of one who violates or has violated justice:

1. unjust (of God as judge): Romans 3:5; Hebrews 6:10.

2. of one who breaks God's laws, unrighteous, sinful (see ἀδικία, 2): (1 Corinthians 6:9); opposed to δίκαιος, Matthew 5:45; Acts 24:15; 1 Peter 3:18: opposed to εὐσεβής, 2 Peter 2:9; in this sense according to Jewish speech the Gentiles are called ἄδικοι, 1 Corinthians 6:1 (see ἁμαρτωλός, b. β.).

3. specifically, of one who deals fraudulently with others, Luke 18:11; who is false to a trust, Luke 16:10 (opposed to πιστός); deceitful, μαμωνᾶς, ibid. Luke 16:11 (for other interpretations see ἀδικία, 2 b.).

Of a person, BGU II. 531ii. 21 (ii/A.D.) πέπεισαι [γὰρ ] μοῦ τῇ γνώμῃ ὡς οὔτε εἰμὶ ἄδικος οὔτε ἀ [λ ]λοτρίων ἐπιθυμητής. Instances need not be multiplied.
