שִׂדִּים see שׂדד. שְׂדֵרָה see סדר above,
שָׂדַי i.q. שָׂדֶה plain, field, but only poet. Psalms 8:8, 50:11 80:14 Deuteronomy 32:13, etc. ־ַי is the proper and primitive Arabian form, in common use in Arabic for ־ֶה, as I have shewn in Heb. Gramm. p. 56, 147, 181; Lehrg. p. 158; Jo. Simonis took שָׂדַי incorrectly for pl. i.q. שָׂדִים, but see Psalms 96:12.
