Pu`al Participle הַמְסֻלָּאִים בַּמָּ֑ז Lamentations 4:2 they who were weighed against gold, reckoned of such value. — compare also II.סלה.

סָלָא

(1) pr. i.q. סָלָה, סָלַל No. I, to lift up.

(2) specially to suspend a balance (compare נָשָׂא Job 6:2); hence to weigh (compare Lat. pendeo and pendo). Once found in

Pual, pass. Lamentations 4:2, הַמְסֻלָּאִים בַּפָּז “who are weighed with fine gold,” i.e. are equal or comparable to fine gold.
