1 glory, magnificence (Assyrian aduru, adiru) ironical of price of shepherd (symbolic) Zechariah 11:13.
2 mangle, cloak (as wide) Micah 2:8 ("" שַׂלְמָה), but read אדרת (ת lost before following ת), so WRS Proph 427.
אֶדֶר m. prop. amplitude, wideness, hence
(1) a wide cloak; Micah 2:8, i.q. אַדֶּרֶת.
(2) magnificence, whence Zechariah 11:13, אֶדֶר הַיְקָר “magnificence of the price;” a magnificent price, said ironically.
