(Strong's #3599 — Noun Masculine — odous — od-ooce )

is used in the sing. in Matthew 5:38 (twice); elsewhere in the plural, of "the gnashing of teeth," the gnashing being expressive of anguish and indignation, Matthew 8:12; 13:42,50; 22:13; 24:51; 25:30; Mark 9:18; Luke 13:28; Acts 7:54; in Revelation 9:8 , of the beings seen in a vision and described as locusts.
