I usage contradicts the statement of Gramm. that μαζός is the man's breast, μαστός the woman's:

1. breast, δεξιτερὸν κατὰ μαζόν Il. 5.393; of men's breasts, βάλε δουρὶ στέρνον ὑπὲρ μαζοῖο 4.528; βάλε στῆθος παρὰ μαζόν 8.121, cf. Od. 22.82, X. An. 1.4.17, 4.3.6.

2. more freq. of a woman's breast, μαζὸν ἀνέσχε, of Hecuba pleading with Hector, Il. 22.80; εἴ ποτέ τοι λαθικηδέα μαζὸν ἐπέσχον ib. 83; γυναῖκά τε θήσατο μαζόν sucked her breast, 24.58; πάϊς δέ οἱ ἦν ἐπὶ μαζῷ Od. 11.448; σὺ δέ μ' ἔτρεφες.. τῷ σῷ ἐπὶ μαζῷ 19.483; so φαίνουσαι τοὺς μαζούς Hdt. 2.85; τοὺς μ. ἀποταμοῦσα Id. 4.202; ἐπὶ τοῦ μαστοῦ ἔφυ φῦμα Id. 3.133; προὔκειτο μαστῶν περονίς S. μαζός, μαζου, , the breast: of a man, Revelation 1:13 Lachmann ((see μαστός). From Homer down.)

STRONGS NT 3149: μασθός μασθός, Doric for μαστός (which see): Revelation 1:13 Tdf. (this form seems to be Western (Hort, Appendix, p. 149)).

STRONGS NT 3149: μαστός μαστός, μαστοῦ, (μάσσω to knead (more probably akin to μαδάω, Latinmadidus, etc.; cf. In Syll 804(= .3 1170).24 (ii/A.D.) M. Julius Apellas telling the story of his cure in the Asclepieum says —ἥψατο δέ μου καὶ τῆς δεξιᾶς χειρὸς καὶ τοῦ μαστοῦ. Cf. also Kaibel 316.3 μάμμη ] δ᾽ Εὐτυχία μασ [τοὺ ]ς κατεκόψατο. For the form μασθός in Revelation 1:13 א (cf. Luke 11:27; Luke 23:29 DFG), which WH (Notes.2, p. 156) regard as ";Western,"; cf. the magic P Lond 121.203 (iii/A.D.) (= I. p. 91) πρὸς μασθῶν σκλήρια (l. ίαν ?). See also s.v. μαζός, and cf.
