בהר (Late Hebrew Hiph`il be bright, shine; compare Aramaic בְּהַר, (not Pe`al) & derivatives; Ethiopic Arabic surpass, especially in brightness, shine brightly).
בֹּהַק m. vitiligo alba, an eruption which in the East is not of rare occurrence, consisting of spots of palish white (בֶּהָרוֹת בֵּהוֹת לְבָנוֹת), like the leprosy, but harmless, and neither contagious nor hereditary. Arab. بَهَقُ in Avic.; Leviticus 13:39. See more in Thes. p. 183.
