אַתִּיק noun masculine id. Ezekiel 42:3 (twice in verse); plural אַתִּיקִים Ezekiel 42:5; Ezekiel 41:15 Qr, see אתוק Kt; Ezekiel 41:16 הָאַתִּיקִים (Co strike out)
אַתִּיק m. Ezekiel 41:15 (קרי), 16 Ezekiel 41:16, 42:3, Ezekiel 42:5, a kind of columns [see below]; (see especially Ezekiel 42:5, comp. verse Ezekiel 42:6). LXX. and Vulg. chap. 42, render it περίστυλον, porticus. Root אָתַק.
[“A term in architecture, signifying a decrement; where a story or portico is drawn in, an offset, ledge, terrace. It is a verbal Hiph. from נָתַק to tear away, cut off. So Böttcher recently (Proben, page 350); but so too Abulwalid long before, i.q. نصيل segment, increment. See his words quoted in Thes. Append. s. h. v.” Ges. add.]
