שִׂישׂ fut. יָשִׂישׂ, once יָשׂוּשׂ Isaiah 35:1, imp. שִׂישׂ, inf. absol. שׂוֹשׂ, constr. שׂוּשׂ to rejoice, to be glad (prop. to leap, to spring, see סוּס ), Job 3:22, followed by עַל Deuteronomy 28:63, 30:9 followed by בְּ in any thing, Isaiah 65:19; Psalms 119:14 specially שׂוּשׂ בַּיהוָֹה Psalms 40:17, 70:5 followed by suff. Isaiah 35:1, יְשֻׂשׂוּם “they shall rejoice for these things” (which are spoken of in the preceding chapter).
