קִדָּה f. Exodus 30:24; Ezekiel 27:19 according to Syr., Chald., Vulg., cassia, a kind of aromatic, like cinnamon, but less valuable and fragrant; so called from its rolls being split; see Dioscor. i. 12; Theophr. Hist. Plant. ix. 5; Celsii Hierob. ii. 186. Compare קְצִיעָה.
