צִיקְלַג see צִקְלַג
I. ציר (√ of following; compare (
) become, attain to go; perhaps Sabean (Minaean) ציר ( cause to become), form Hom Chrest. 125); — on Hithpa`el Joshua 9:4 see ציר.
צִיצִת (for צִיצִית) f. prop. something like a flower or feather (from צִיץ with the fem. adj. termination ־ִית), hence
(1) the forelock of the hair (comp. the root נָצָה), Ezekiel 8:3.
(2) the borders, the fringed edges (Ouafte, Troddel), which the Israelites wore on the corners of their garments, Numbers 15:38, 39 Numbers 15:39.
