(1)  shining splendour, as of fire, Isaiah 4:5 of the sun, 2 Samuel 23:4 when rising, Proverbs 4:18 of the moon, Isaiah 60:19 of a sword, Habakkuk 3:11 of the glory surrounding God (כְּבוֹד יְהֹוָה), Ezekiel 10:4; Habakkuk 3:4; Psalms 18:13.

(2) [Nogah], pr.n of a son of David, 1 Chronicles 3:7, 14:6.

נֹגַהּ emphat, נָגְהָא Ch. light. Daniel 6:20, בְּנָגְהָא by candle light. [In Thes. the meaning given is morning light, which is a preferable sense. Syriac ܢܳܓܗܳܐ, ܢܳܓܰܗ etc., the first dawn of the morning.]
