When the seed opens the roots begin to form the base of the plant by going down into the soil. The plant rises out of the ground forming the stalk of the plant. A tall tree can only stand tall and firm because of the strong root system which supports it.

Pi`el Imperfect 1 singular suffix בִשְׁמֶ֑ךָ אֲכַנְּךָוָאֶקְרָא לְךָ Isaiah 45:4 I have called thee by thy name, giving thee a title (of honour; compare for construction Dr§ 163); 3 masculine singular וּבְשֵׁם יִשְׂרָאֵל יְכַנֶּה Isaiah 44:5, and with the name Israel he titles (himself), is hardly possibly; absolute he betitles, or makes use of a title, is unlikely; read probably
Pu`al, see below, in bad sense = give a flattering title: וְאֶלאָֿדָם לֹא אֲכַנֶּה Job 32:21 and unto man I do not give flattering titles ("" אַללֿנָא אֶשָּׂא פְנֵי אִישׁ); absolute Job 32:22.
Pu`al Imperfect יְכֻנֶּה Isaiah 44:5 he is betitled (see above; so ᵑ7 Bi Che Du; "" יקרא בשׁם יעקב, etc.)
כָּנָה unused in Kal. Arab. كنى I., II., IV., to call some person or thing by a figurative name or cognomen, especially by an honourable appellation, to adorn with a title (see Tauritz. ad Hamas. Schult. p. 320; Tebleb. ad Har. Schult. ii. 57). Ch. to address honourably. So, in the Hebrew, in
Piel כִּנָּה
(1) to address kindly, to call (any one) kindly. Isaiah 44:5, וּבְשֵׁם יִשְׂרָאֵל יְכַנֶּה “and he kindly speaks to Israel” [addresses by that name]; Isaiah 45:4, אֲכַנְּךָ וְלֹא יְדַעְתָּנִי “I have (gently) called thee, though thou hast not known me.”
(2) to flatter. Job 32:21, 22 Job 32:22.
