Combined these mean "bring together and pressed". Once the grain stalks are harvested from the field, it is gathered into bundles and secured with a cord in the middle.

Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

יָקוֹשׁ Hosea 9:8, and יָקוּשׁ Psal. 91:3 Proverbs 6:5. Pl. יְקוּשִׁים Jeremiah 5:26, m. a fowler. Root יָקשׁ. Of these forms, the former is properly intransitive; the other of a passive but intransitive power.
