1174) mh (ההמ HhM) AC: Heat CO: Cheese AB: ?: The pictograph h is a picture of a wall meaning "to separate". The m is a picture of water. Combined these mean "separate water". Cheese was made by placing milk in a bag made out of an animal skin. The bag was hung out in the sun and pushed back and forth. The skin of the bag contained an enzyme that when heated and shaken caused the milk to sour and separate into its two parts, fat (curds or cheese) and water (whey) . The whey could be drunk and the curds eaten or stored for future consumption.

חוֹמָה f. a wall, from the root חָמָה to surround, which see. Exodus 14:22, 29 Exodus 14:29; Deuteronomy 3:5, 28:52. Generally the wall of a town, Isaiah 22:10, 36:11, 12 Isaiah 36:12; Nehemiah 3:8, 33, etc.; rarely of other buildings, Lamentations 2:7. Metaph. used of a maiden, chaste and difficult of approach, Song of Solomon 8:9, 10.
Plur. חוֹמוֹת walls, Isaiah 26:1 Ps. 51:20, with pl. verb, Jeremiah 50:15 so also Jeremiah 1:18, “I make thee this day a fortified city … … and brazen walls,” although in the same phrase, Jeremiah 15:20, the singular is used.
From the pl. is formed the dual חֹמֹתַיִם double walls, the double series of walls with which Jerusalem was surrounded on the south; whence בֵּין הַחֹמֹתַיִם between the two walls (of Jerusalem), 2 Kings 25:4; Isaiah 22:11; Jeremiah 39:4.
