1. thigh, φάσγανον ὀξὺ ἐρυσσάμενος παρὰ μηροῦ drawing his sword from his thigh, where it hung, Il. 1.190, cf. Od. 11.231, al.; μηρὼ πληξάμενος, in sign of vehement agitation, Il. 16.125; ἐπαίσατο τὸν μηρόν X. Cyr. 7.3.6; τύπτειν Plb. 15.27.11; τὸν μ. ἀλοῆσαι Plu.
