P Oxy VIII. 1112.83 (A.D. 188) καταπεπτω (κυίας) of acacia trees, P Strass I. 31.9 (ii/iii A.D.) οἰκίας καταπεπτω κ (υίας), BGU III. 735i. 9 (A.D. 235) οἰκ (ία) νυνεὶ κατα π (επτωκυῖα) καὶ ψειλ (ός), and ib. 889.22 (A.D. 151). OGIS 483.101 (ii/B.C.) τῶν δὲ δεομένων ἐπισκευῆς κοινῶ [ν τ ]οιχῶν ἢ καταπεσόντων. The verb is used metaphorically of the accidents of fortune in Vett. Val. p. 40.15 γενναίως τὰ καταπίπτοντα φέρειν.
