Berean Study Bible
So will choose their punishment and I will bring terror upon them, because I called and no one answered, I spoke and no one listened. But they did what was evil in My sight and chose that in which I did not delight."
English Standard Version
I also will choose harsh treatment for them and bring their fears upon them, because when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, they did not listen; but they did what was evil in my eyes and chose that in which I did not delight."
Holman Christian Standard Version
So I will choose their punishment, and I will bring on them what they dread because I called and no one answered; I spoke and they didn't hear; they did what was evil in My sight and chose what I didn't delight in.
King James Version
I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called (8804), none did answer (8802); when I spake (8765), they did not hear (8804): but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.
Lexham English Bible
Indeed, I myself I will choose their ill treatment, and I will bring them objects of their dread, because I called, and no one answered
New American Standard Version
So I will choose their punishments And will bring on them what they dread. Because I called, but no one answered; I spoke, but they did not listen. And they did evil in My sight And chose that in which I did not delight."
World English Bible
I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears on them; because when I called, no one answered; when I spoke, they didn't listen; but they did that which was evil in my eyes, and chose that in which I didn't delight."
