(Strong's #2413 — Adjective — hieros — hee-er-os' )

denotes "consecrated to God," e.g., the Scriptures, 2 Timothy 3:15 , RV, "sacred" (AV "holy"); it is used as a noun in the neuter plural in 1 Corinthians 9:13 , RV, "sacred things" (AV, "holy things").
