(Strong's #3583 — Verb — xeraino — xay-rah'ee-no )

denotes "to dry up, wither," translated in Revelation 14:15 , "over-ripe," RV (AV, "ripe"), said figuratively of the harvest of the earth, symbolizing the condition of the world, political, especially connected with Israel (Joel 3:9,14 ), and religious, comprehensive of the whole scene of Christendom (Matthew 13:38 ).
