(Strong's #4154 — Verb — pneo — pneh'-o )

signifies (a) "to blow," e.g., Matthew 7:25; John 3:8; in Acts 27:40 the present participle is used as a noun, lit., "to the blowing" (i.e., to the wind); (b) "to breathe." See BREATHE.

2: ὑποπνέω

(Strong's #5285 — Verb — hupopneo — hoop-op-neh'-o )

hupo, "under" (indicating repression), and No. 1, denotes "to blow softly," Acts 27:13 .

Note: In Acts 28:13 , epiginomai, "to come on," is used of the springing up of a wind, AV, "blew;" RV, "sprang up."
