The male, Cervus captrolus , is the hart or deer of Deuteronomy 12:15 ,Deuteronomy 12:15,12:22; Deuteronomy 14:5; Deuteronomy 15:22; 1 Kings 4:23; Isaiah 35:6; Psalm 42:2; Song of Song of Solomon 2:9 ,Song of Song of Solomon 2:17; Lamentations 1:6 .
