Introduction
1 CHRONICLES CHAPTER 18
David subdueth the Philistines and the Moabites; smiteth Hadarezer and the Syrians, 1 Chronicles 18:1-8.
Tou sendeth Hadoram with presents to bless David: the presents and spoil David dedicated to God, 1 Chronicles 18:9-11.
He putteth garrisons in Edom, 1 Chronicles 18:12,1 Chronicles 18:13.
David’s officers, 1 Chronicles 18:14-17.
Verse 1
All this chapter is explained on 2 Samuel 8:0.
Verse 8
Tibhath and Chun; for which, 2 Samuel 8:8, Betah and Berothai are mentioned. Either therefore they were the same places called by several names, as is usual; or they were four neighbouring places, out of all which the brass was taken, whereof two places having been named there are omitted here, and the other two places there omitted are here remembered.
